Went to this location today for breakfast with a friend. The hostess told us that we had we had to wait for a table to be cleared. The wait wasn't long. She took us to our table which was in the very back of the restaurant near a group of 12. On the way to the table, we passed at least four empty tables that had already been cleared but for some reason she didn't sit us there. We were given menus as we waited for someone to come and take our drink orders. Shortly, after we were seated, at least two other tables were given to other customers. Someone came and took their drink orders as soon as they were seated. On the other side of the group of 12, customers were seated there and a waiter came and took and their drink orders. No one came to take ours. I told my friend that we should walk out. We felt that because we were black, we were seated in the back of the restaurant. We felt that because we were black, no one came to our table to take our order. My friend left the restaurant and I followed behind shortly. On my way out, I told the hostess that no one ever came to take our drink order. She had a surprised look on her face. I will never visit this restaurant again.
WE have been coming to this Cracker Barrel for years. Over the past few years it really has gone down the hill. Today we had a great server and for once they got our meal right! Thanks Chip for such a great experience! This store needs more people like you working there!
Overall, the experience was sorely lacking. The food was good but the delivery could use some work.
I found myself in need to kill some time, at 7:00 am! Cracker Barrel can usually be counted on for consistent food and service. The hostess seemed as though she was elsewhere, but it was early in the morning. I was impressed with my server, Alyssa C. Alyssa was smiling, friendly, and most importantly, attentive to my detailed food order. Inattentiveness on the part of servers has rendered unswallowable food, which is an unfortunate result for me and the restaurant. Alyssa came through. She checked on me regularly, but was never intrusive. I believe Alyssa deserves another star on her apron!
I forgot how many yummy meals are on CB's menu, and we got sat by the fire. It wasn't the quickest meal, but it was the relaxing, comfort food meal we needed. We'll be back!
We were seated quickly, but it took about 20 minutes to have our drink order taken. After we received our drinks and ordered, our food arrived about 15 minutes later (no complaints from that!), but part of the order was left off. The waiter had issues with stretching over our guests from one end of the table, almost knocking food out of one of our guest’s hands. Our drinks wete empty for quite a while, before we saw the waiter to ask for refills.
